It's my first time to visit the hotel and restaurant in Relais et chateaux group twice in one month. What brought me is the chef promised me to go mushroom hunting with me when we met for the first time two years ago. And I am very glad that he finally made it for this visit.  

We set off at 7:00 although we met in his kitchen at 6:00. I took a look at this gourmet kitchen early in the morning. I walked around the kitchen by myself and took a look at many small details in every station in the kitchen. Nobody was in here. I just could not believe that I had this honor to see this kitchen.  

It rained in the afternoon the day I checked in. When we arrived his "secret garden", he told me that the tmeperature was too slow for the mushroom of growth.

In the end, we only collected 500g-800g mushrooms. It is not great but not too bad. He told me that he has picked up nothing alone for couple times in the early morning.  

He knows meat protein better than any other French chef I've ever known and cooks to perfection,I will come back and be hungry for more!
